I'm About Passed Out from Exhaustion

Yep, you read it right: I am about passed out from exhaustion. You should have seen me running around all over the place, and stressing! I knew my weekend was going to be like this, so I made sure my Friday night was going to be fun, and all out relaxing. I came home from a long day of working to dinner and my Sex and the City episodes, and met up some girlfriends for drinks and dancing. It was a nice night out that was desperately needed.

However, come Saturday, the torture started: MIDTERM EXAMS! I had three to do, and I seriously thought my head was going to explode. I did one earlier that week because the professor actually have a week to have it done, and it was sooo short. Of course its that way. On Saturday and Sunday, I had to concentrate on my Abnormal Psychology midterm and my Sociology midterm. My Abnormal Psychology midterm was not too bad, I had 48 hours to finish 6 Essay questions no limit on words. They were such easy questions that I got them done within 6 hours. However, my Sociology midterm was a nightmare. I had 36 hours to write 5 essays with 800 words each essay. They were very had questions, and I could not get 800 words out in every essay, so I just turned them in with around 600 words in each essay. Then my professor emailed me back saying it is a minimum of 800 and that I had a failed midterm unless I changed it before the deadline, so thats what I did, I had to add more. So, all my essays have more than 800 words, but I know there have to be a bunch of run on sentences since I really didn't know what to say. So after hours and hours of frying my brain, I got my midterms accomplished.
I would like to thank my Daddy and Craig for helping me out this weekend with coming up with information. :]

The rest of the weekend consisted of me cleaning and getting ready for a big adventure. This week I have grocery shopping to do, 4 appointments to attend, and working all day long. This week is also going to be pretty stressful, but will go by very fast.

Last night, Gregg and I got to video chat for the second time this deployment. I loved it, and it was great conversation. He even got on this morning to say hello, and talk about stuff we might like to do when he comes home for his R&R in August. I know I know...already planning for August? You have to when you have a man plan deployed, it gives you something to look forward to. We still have about 42 weeks to go with this deployment, and so far it is creeping by for me. Gregg said its going pretty fast for him which is good to hear. I am glad he is not miserable counting the minutes. So, he is doing good, and staying busy.

Lately I have been really wanting to spice up my wardrobe. I have bought some new jeans, and a couple tops, but most of the time, I have found myself buying the same old stuff! I need help, and I am not afraid to admit it. So, if anyone has any great ideas of what would look good on me, let me know!!

Alright, I am going to get back to my Sex and the City episodes. Until next time, later!

8 Left to Go, and Missing You.

8 Left to Go...That's right; I have 8 more pounds to lose, and then I will be at my goal weight. Can it be done? I'm not sure, but I am going to try my hardest to make it to the end. Lately, my emotions have been a whirlwind, and I am so ready to throw everything down, and just curl up in a ball for a year or maybe even two. I am really wanting to cut some of my hours at work, have more time with school, and gain any amount of energy to clean. However, I know none of that is going to change. I will still work for many hours a day, I will rush to get my homework done only to get a satisfactory grade, and my house will always be a wreck.

I guess I would like to say those are the reasons for me being so emotional, but really...I just miss my best friend. I miss Justine. I need her more than ever right now, and I want to tell her so much, but just can't. I wish I could go downstairs, out the gate, into the next building, into her apartment, and see her there waiting on me. I am a strong person, and I know that. I am proud of myself for sticking with staying in Italy; I just wish I had my best friend here with me. However, I just have to suck it up, get past these next 7 months, and it will all be over. I just have to have that reassurance every once and awhile...

But on to happy things, I made it through another 17.5 hour shift with NO breaks. I accomplished switching two rooms that I have been wanting to for awhile now. I accomplished a new recipe I have been dying to try. And, I mailed out my sister's birthday present a week ago. See, I am getting stuff done...Slowly.

Also, Gregg and I's house search is still going on, and I am having a difficult time finding the perfect home for the two of us. I found one that is a dream, but a little further out than what I have planned on. Hopefully, God will point in us in the right direction soon, so we can get this buying thing active. I recently emailed a good friend of mine, Jessica (check out her blog, its amazing!), to see if she could help point us in the right direction. She replied back so fast, and I can't wait to start looking even more. She lives out in Texas as well, and I would love to get something close to her area so I can have a buddy to hang out with and go on millions of shopping trips and lunch dates. Anyways, thats about it on that update.

This weekend, I have three exams going on, and I am hoping to get through them with flying colors. So, if you don't hear from me in awhile, I am probably tired from exhaustion! Until next time, later!

Tuesday's List; Valenine's Day

Wow, long time no post. I can't believe I have gone this long, but school does come first. This week, we are talking about what we did on Valentine's Day. Gregg and I did not do much due to him being deployed. I just sent him a card because I "THOUGHT" we weren't doing anything special this year. However, Gregg and his friends got together to write a song to their wives this Valentine's Day. If you would like to hear it, you can go to and click on the song called, "That Girl of Mine." Two girlfriends of mine and myself did not want this Valentine's Day to be a sad one so we decided to go to Carnevale in Venezia. Carnevale is a three week party down in Venice to celebrate Mardi Gras. It was sooo much fun, and I will remember this Valentine's Day forever..

Us on the train cramped, but pregamming...
there was no place to sit, everyone was headed to Venice today!

This is the crowd coming out of the train was crazy hectic!
This was the restuarant we ate at.
We came here because it was the closest to Americanized as you can get in Italy.
I met Johnny Depp...haha
We got to see a show were they did a dance with was interesting.
One of the people dressed up.
Just came out of the train ready!

Partying "OUR" way.
Bring a backpack with bottles of wine, and fill up. Its expensive to drink in Italy.
Got my face painted with Bubby's colors!

Had to sneak in this one...too many people wanted a picture with this person
You know I had We had the best time, and I will never forget it! I also tried my very first Belini and it pretty much was the most amazing drink I have ever had! ***There will be even more pictures posted on facebook!***

A little Frustrated, but NOT Giving Up

I have lost a total 0f 12 pounds since I have started the whole I am going to lose the weight I have gained over the past year. However, I am at a road block, and still need to lose about 10 pounds. The numbers have stopped going down, and yes, I am a little sad. I know everyone has a point in time where it stops for awhile, I just didn't think mine was going to happen this soon. Last week, I went to my first Zumba class, and let me tell you, I am going back EVERY Thursday now. I LOVED this class; probably because it brought me back to my old dancing days. Yesterday, I also went to my first spin class. I didn't do as great as I wanted to do, but I was sweating a bunch when the class ended. I did try yoga twice, but for some reason, I can't get into it as much as I would like to. It does relax me towards the end, but during it, I can't focus and my head goes off wondering why I am there. So, I will be sticking with Zumba, and cycling when my schedule allows. I have also been going into the gym everyday, and will continue to keep that going. Hopefully, I will see more results soon!

School has been going well. I have been having to get on every night for at least two hours, but hopefully it will all pay off when I see my final grade. I am taking three classes which every one thinks is too much, but I am going to be done before I know it. I want to be done with school as fast as possible, and if thats what I have to do, then so be it.

Last night was a really hard night for me being in the house without Gregg. I was invited to go out, but I didn't want to go out. I couldn't sleep in my bed without Gregg home either, so last night was spent in the recliner. I will probably do the same thing tonight, but thats alright. I know I am going to have some sad days. Once tomorrow starts, I'll be back to my busy self once again.

Anyways, nothing else new here. So, I will update again once there is. Until next time, later.

Okay, I told you guys I was not able to get on yesterday, and I realized something...Yesterday marked one year that I started this blog. After Jessica posted her blog birthday, I was interested to see when mine was...and yes, February 2, 2009 was the day. Thank you to anyone that stopped by to hear about Gregg and my adventures, emotional stories, and fun days. I would not have this blog unless it was for the readers I have back at home. (Man, I feel like I giving a speech as if I just won a Golden I would like to keep this blog for as long as possible so that family will still feel a part of our lives, and I love how I reconnected with old friends. Tuesday's List: Bible Verses

It's Tuesday's List time again! Well, technically its late on Monday night, but I know I will not have anytime tomorrow to get a post here it goes. This week we are listing bible verses that we tend to always go back to. The ones that give so much meaning, and help us get through times where we need a little rememberance/help. So, here I go...

{1} Jeremiah 29:11
For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

With this bible verse, God is telling me he has a plan for me I do not need to worry. My life will end with him, and I should enjoy the day.

{2} Philippians 4:6-7
Don't worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God's peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.

This one is pretty much self explanatory...I need to remember that I am allowed to pray to God at any moment of the day. I do not need to wait until Sunday, do it now..pray to him for advice, help, encouragement, etc., and he will give.

{3} Joshua 1:9
Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.

I also have to remember that God is with me no matter where I work, to the PX, to the gym, etc. I need to hold myself up and be happy because God has created the day, and to rejoice in it. God will always be there helping me make the decisions I have to make.

{4} Romans 12:21
Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.

This one is very important to remember in daily problems. If someone is mean to me, I do not be mean back. That is just going to end up hurting me in the end. I need to spread good around the world, and hopefully some will follow.

{5} Ephesians 5:22-33
Wives, submit to your own husbands, as to the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife even as Christ is head of the church, his body, and is himself its Savior. Now as the church submits to Christ, so also wives should submit in everything to their husbands. Husbands, love your wives, as Christ loved the Church and gave himself up for her, that he may sanctify her, having cleansed her by the washing of water with the word, so that he might present the church to himself in splendor, without spot or wrinkle or any such thing, that she may be holy and without blemish. In the same way husbands should love their wives as they love their bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself. For no one ever hated his own flesh, but nourishes and cherishes it, just as Christ does the church, because we are members of his body. Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and hold fast to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh.

This one was said at Gregg and my wedding, and I am so close to this verse. Everyone reads this one wrong, but really, it gives so much meaning.
Wives, submit to your husband - A lot of women take this literally and say the bible is telling me to be a slave to my husband, but its not. Its saying wives, you should always be there for your husband. Help him, comfort him, love him, etc.
And in the end, God is telling husbands to love their wives, and I think that is very important in a relationship. Boys will become men when they can honestly say they love their wife.
And two shall become one- that is so powerful. Gregg and I have honestly become one in our marriage and have so much respect for one another. I can't wait to spend another day with him always.

Alright, there you go...Sorry, if I am a bit bland in my words today....still feeling a bit crummy, but I will get through. Hopefully the sun will come out soon, and I can have a day of fun!
