On Saturday, I actually had some fun! I wish I could do it everyday. I went to a winery called Villa Sceriman in Vo, Italy with my neighbor and her beautiful baby boy! First we went in and looked at all the wines they offer and I ended up buying three bottles. I probably would have walked away with a dozen if Greggory was with me, but I decided we do that a little later. Next, we ordered some bread and cheese. You can also order salami and olives, but we thought the two would be enough and it was. I tried two different wines while I was there and they were both so very delicious. I could have downed them in two seconds, but I held back and sipped slowly. We sat outside under a beautiful greenery canopy. The atmosphere was just amazing, and I felt like I was truly in Italy! I want Greggory to come home from training so I can take him there on a date. He would love it! I told him about it last night, and his exact words were, "You are having fun without me? Not fair!" Haha. I apologized, and explained that I am on a mission to find things for us to do on the weekend that are fun and wallet friendly. I can definitely add this trip to the list!
This is where you go get your food: bread, cheese, salami, and olives
This is where you order the wines you would like to taste; Sorry so blurry.
This is part of the wine store where you can buy your wines; Sorry so blurry.
This is the greenery canopy we sit under while drinking wine and eating. I'm sure it would be romantic at night when they turn on the lights there are strung up there. Of course, Me.
On Sunday Night, I spent the evening with friends for dinner. I had a lot of fun hanging with then just sharing laughs and stories. Thanks again girls, and I hope we have another one soon! Still waiting on all the housing stuff because there has been a lot of confusion and it is driving me crazy. I just want to know which house we end up with! I'll let you know more as soon as I know. Anyways, that's all I have for now. Until next time, later!
Well, Greggory is gone once again for training. This back and forth thing has really thrown us for a loop. We get our schedules together and then they change again when he leaves. The night before he left, we got a whole group of people together and went to this Brazillion Restaurant about half an hour away from post. The restaurant is kind of like Texas De Brazil except its cheaper and you don't have to get all fancy. It is a very relaxed place with live music. The night was exciting. I ate all kinds of different meat..even a heart! I am always up for trying things once. My favorite had to have been the lamb though. During our trip there, the guy who played his guitar and sang asked Greggory to come up and play something...And, he did! He did amazing! He played many songs, and I recorded all of them. However, I am only going to put one of the videos on here because the upload is ridiculous! By the end of the night, all the guys were up there drunk, singing, and doing their cute little dance. I could have not asked for a better night right before my hubby had to leave.
Now, I just spend my time getting ready to move to the other place. Oh yea, to anyone that does not know...We are getting kicked out of our apartment over here and have to move to a new one. This is such a pain. I love our place..The only good thing about the move is that we will be closer to post. The reason for being kicked out is our whole building has a very bad mold problem, complaints from other apartment residents of this place being too far, and more. So, the lease for this building is in October and the government is not going to renew it. They decided to go ahead and move us now while it is warm and they don't have many new people coming in to Vicenza right now. So, I go look at houses on Wednesday. I hope I do as good of a job as my hubby did on this place! Today, I have spent my time taking pictures down so i can start fixing the holes in the walls and I have started to bag up lotions, soaps, etc. I want to get as much done now so I won't have to do a lot later. Keep me in your prayers, this is a lot to do!
Jack has been doing great! He finally understand what a puppy pad is, and it is making it soo much easier on me! He has his dental appointment on the 28th this month and I am sure he is not going to be happy with me! Next, he definitely needs a grooming appointment. He misses Greggory. He always goes to his chair and lays down making a sad face. I tell him, "I know..I miss him too!"
Well, I have been making more friends which makes me happy! I have really opened myself up and dove right in. This makes it a little easier on me with Gregg gone because now we have girls nights, and gym dates, and movie time! I think joining the FRG has helped a lot in that process, and it gives me a lot of opportunities to get involved with Gregg's company. The FRG here has really turned around and is so much better. I feel like I get to know more info, and like I said, I get to hang out with all the other wives of the company.
Nothing else new here, I just thought I would update since I haven't in awhile. You guys keep sending me emails with updates on how everyone else is doing. I love reading them and it makes me feel a part of your lives. Well, until next time, LATER!
Alright, so it was my birthday weekend, and it was the best time I have had in Italy so far! It all started off on Thursday night when Gregg came home, and I had to go pick him up. Ended up spending some time with friends and watching movies with Gregg. On Friday, Gregg suggested I go to work with him so he can spend as much time with me as possible. It was a fun day laying in the sun watching him clean guns that were used at his last training rotation. On Saturday, Gregg and I just relaxed at home and I got to make the famous enchiladas..yum! Now Sunday, wow oh Sunday! That was a great day! I got yummy cupcakes and presents from friends, and we also went Medieval Times in Verona, Italy. Medieval Times is the coolest thing I have ever done in my life. It was us and practically Gregg's whole platoon. It was amazing! We went and saw the show and then went and drank at a local pub. I can't even really explain the experience I had at Medieval Times, I just suggest that everyone go to it at least once in their life! I am adding some pictures from the night:
On Monday, my actual birthday, I got woken up by a birthday kiss, and then finished out the day how I wanted. To just stay at home on the couch with my husband watching movies and goofing around. I could have not asked for more...but wait, there was. Greggory made me dinner and it was delicious! Thanks to everyone who sent birthday shout outs and were a part of my weekend. It is definitely one I will never forget!

First off, I grew up in Memphis, TN where I graduated from Immaculate Conception High School and had the opportunity to go to college at the University of Memphis. During my college years, I got engaged to a wonderful man named Gregg. He dedicated five years of his life to the Army and has dedicated the rest to spending it with me. We got the greatest opportunity to live in Italy for the first two years of our marriage, and enjoyed it to the fullest.
We currently live in Cordova, TN where I work as a full-time CTA at Cole Pain Therapy Group. If I am not there, I am spending time cooking, organizing, watching movies, reading, or gardening. If you would like to know more, please become a follower. Happy Reading!
